This upgraded battery cable kit replaces old worn out battery cables for more power and better performance from your vehicle.

What is the "Big 7" Battery Cable Kit

Our "Big 7" kits include the standard "Big 3" cables: alternator output to battery positive, battery negative to frame/body and engine ground to frame body PLUS we add the leads to the starter and the fuse relay box, as well as adding an external fuse to avoid routing the increase in current capacity through the smaller fuse box wiring.

What makes these cables so special?

We're nerds for specs and finer details around here. None of that CCA (copper-clad aluminum) that's used in inferior products, or stereo installations. We only use fine-strand, SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) approved, pure copper cable. Then using a powerful electromechanical crimping machine, we crimp each solid-copper end, and finally finish the construction by adding a environmental seal made of marine grade heatshrink meeting MIL-I-23053/4. Also included are military style corrosion resistant battery connections and an ANL fuse and holder. To make the entire install simpler, every end will be labeled for ease of installation.

Do I need a bigger alternator to run these cables?

No. Every vehicle can benefit from our "better than factory" cables. The years, along with environmental damage from rain/salt water/corrosion, can greatly impact your electrical system. Our customers have consistently reported that their vehicle starts faster, charges the battery better, and many times cured electrical gremlins that were brought on by compromised wiring.

I've changed my mind! I want to run a bigger alternator!

Perfect! You're probably running a power inverter, a stereo, a winch, an under hood welder, or flux capacitor. These all require more amperage than the stock alternator is capable of providing. Maybe you're not running any of these yet, but considering it, these cables will get you ready!

2GA or 4GA? Which to choose?

As far as 2GA vs 4GA, it's really going to depend on what mods you're going to do to. If you're staying stock, then 4GA is plenty, but if you're looking at modifying it down the road (winches/lights/etc) then you'd want 2GA, and we all know a Jeep is never really *done*.

The new cables definitely feel like you get what you pay for - high quality and durable. The only problem I have is that the replacement cable for the alternator requires shaving down the plastic shroud for the cable. That feels like the design of the alternator cable could be better. I can buy these cables brand new, but buying a new alternator cable shroud is much harder. Also, would've been nice if the instructions gave more detail than just "take out old wires, put in new wires". The old wires didn't have an inline fuse, which I don't know where to put now, considering that the wire from the battery to the fuse is quite short. All in all, a good product that provides meaningful improvement over the factory cables, but I wish was designed a tiny bit better. I appreciated all the cables being labeled, but a better instruction manual and alternator cable that wouldn't require modifying the shroud would've been my choice.

Peace of mind for today and tomorrow

My 1995 was a known project when I bought it. One of the problems was electrical unreliability. These cables enabled me to move forward with peace of mind, not only for the present, but also power enough for the future, should I add more accessories down the road.

Great Kit, Easy to Install

Easy to install took a couple of hours. I mounted the fuse to my jack plate on the fender. Worked great.

Everything was great. The cables were all labeled clearly, they were the correct lengths, and the terminal ends fit perfectly. The battery terminals are well made, and make disconnecting the cables quick and easy. Overall, a definite improvement over the factory cables and terminals. Great product!

The ends of each wire being labeled really helped out. Good quality stuff. Seems right. Definitely fixed my original cables that were so corroded the insulation was cracked and falling apart.

I bought the 1/0 GA kit, easy install. Be careful with the plastic white bracket under the the front of engine block (going to starter). Slow and steady. Sturdy kit, well made and easy to install. Give them a call or shoot them an email, the customer service team here is really helpful and will answer your questions. Paul was ready to help!
